2013 Shawnee Open – Saturday Update

The qualify standings are constantly updated so you can check your standing throughout the day.

We had 20 entrants yesterday and I expect quite a few more today.  We’re getting a good sized pot built up.  The winners (16 of them) are going to take home some nice prize money.

Qualifying resumes at 1:00 today and ends at 5:30.  No practice after qualifying starts so if you want to practice, come for lunch and play before 1:00.  Be sure to give yourself enough time to get all the entries submitted that you want to.

The brackets for finals will be posted at challonge.com, they will also constantly update.  I’ll post the URL for them once we get the finals started.

Thanks for the great turnout, good luck!

Theatre of Magic at Pizza West

DSCN1357 (Custom)Theatre of Magic made its debut at Pizza West on September 19th.  It is 50 cents/play or 5 for $2.  It has the motorized Tiger Saw mod.  Theatre replaced Apollo 13.  The other games in the lineup are Data East Star Wars, The Addams Family, Iron Man, Wizard of Oz Limited Edition, Funhouse, and Super Star.

Wizard of Oz Limited Edition is in Pizza West.DSC_9354 (Custom)One thing to note, the game does not have Invisiglass in it, just a sheet of regular glass.

There should be a code update coming out soon.  I’ll have it updated as soon as it is released.

Hope you enjoy it.  Let me know what you think of the game.

One Year

It was a year ago today that I moved four games into Pizza West.  We now have seven, and things have been great.  Thanks to everyone for their support and thanks to Dave and Cory at Pizza West for making this all possible.

Pinball Article in Kansas City Star

The Kansas City Star had a lengthy article on pinball featuring you know who.  It was published in the Sunday Star Magazine insert of the September 9th edition of the Kansas City Star.  The online version of the article has now been archived and can only be viewed if you are a subscriber or have an archive account with the KC Star.

The reporter, Ed Eveld, and photographer, Rich Sugg, did a great job.  Many thanks to them.

Moving to Pizza West

As mentioned elsewhere on the site, I now have six (now seven) games in Pizza West in Shawnee, KS.  At the time these pictures were taken I was moving in four games.  Getting these games ready and servicing them has kept me busy the last few weeks.  Since not much has happened on my other projects, I figured I’d post some pictures of the moving day.
